Mrs. Jane Swan is the 2016 founding Chief Executive Officer of Reach Cyber Charter School. Mrs. Swan leads a growing team of 786 administrators, educators and staff who serve 7,200 students across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Kindergarten to12th grade. Jane notes that the excellent staff and care filled culture; integration of STEM, Careers, Gifted education and multiple schedule options provides PA students with a unique charter experience! Mrs. Swan is also serving her second term on the Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP) for the state, appointed by the Governor, as a Representative for Charter Schools.

Previously, Jane served as a Director and High School Principal for nearly eight years at another PA cyber school and as an English teacher and department chair in brick-and-mortar schools for nine years. Additionally, Mrs. Swan has worked as a Coordinator for Parent Networks, Advocate for people with disabilities, and Coordinator of AmeriCorps and Physician Education programs at Temple University's Institute on Disabilities.

Mrs. Swan's other honors include Wal-Mart & Sam's Club Teacher of the Year; Who's Who Among America's Teachers, and Keystone Technology Integrator.

This school year is Mrs. Ritchie's 31st year in education. She is starting her 6th year at Reach and her 11th year in cyber education. LeeAnn's career started as a middle school and high school teacher of English in brick and mortar schools. Once she completed her master's degree, curriculum/instruction and principal certificates, she moved into school administration in brick and mortar and in cyber education. She served as a High School Principal, Middle School Principal, Elementary Principal, director of curriculum, lead principal and, currently, chief academic officer. LeeAnn has also been an adjunct college professor for 20 years. In her spare time, she takes piano lessons, is learning to quilt, and spends time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her favorite place to be is on a beach anywhere.

Rachel started her career in cyber education in 2003 as an elementary teacher and spent the next 8 years holding various positions including state testing coordinator and teacher leader. In 2011, she started working for an education management company and had the pleasure of supporting cyber schools across the United States. It was as wonderful experience that took her several states.

In 2015-2016, Rachel had the honor of assisting Reach obtain it's charter with the Department of Education and then officially joined the Reach staff at the end of 2018 as their Director of Family Services. Over the years, she has enjoyed working with both the Family Mentor and Intervention Specialist Teams. Now, she supports the operational side of the school; including the Data, Enrollment, and Technology Teams.

Outside of Reach, she stays busy with her husband, 3 children and 2 cats.

Alicia joined Reach Cyber Charter School in September 2017. She worked in the elementary school teaching fifth grade specializing in Science and Math. She was then promoted to an Assistant Principal role in the High School where she has served for the last 5 years. Before working at Reach, Alicia was both the Educational Director of a Preschool with a PDE licensed Kindergarten program and an elementary teacher in both public and charter settings. She created the High School Assemblies initiative and took the lead role in our High School Graduation ceremony. Alicia loves connecting with families, STEM education, and being the voice of our Facebook Live events!

As the Board and Legislative Liaison, Brandie is responsible for maintaining the critical connection and effective collaboration between the School's Board of Trustees, the CEO, and the senior leadership team. In addition, Brandie serves as the link between the school, the Board, and the State Legislature regarding education-related legislative issues and topics.

An advocate for the expansion of access to great public schools in high need communities, Brandie previously served as the Director of Operations and Development for the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools. During her tenure, Brandie successfully managed the application and execution of the Expanding Opportunities Through Quality Charter School Programs Grant (commonly referred to as a CSP Grant) from the US Department of Education. This $30 million grant awarded in September 2020, will support the development, expansion, and replication of 18 high-quality public schools in Pennsylvania over the course of five years.

Brandie also serves on the Board of Trustees for Pennsylvania's Jobs for America's Graduates.

Cody began working at Reach Cyber Charter School during the 2016-2017 school year after 5 years of teaching Middle School Social Studies at another cyber charter School. He has held various roles at Reach including 8th grade Social Studies teacher, department chair, instructional coach, assistant principal and now principal. The 2022-2023 school year is Cody's second year as the High School Principal.

Outside of Reach, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and two sons, Isaiah and Mason. Amy and Cody enjoy running together and have a goal of running at least a half marathon in every state. They are nearing the half way point of accomplishing this goal.

Devin came to Reach as a high school/middle school assistant principal in 2019, and took over his role as Elementary Principal in November 2020. Before coming to Reach Devin taught Sociology at another cyber charter school since 2013 and also spent a few years teaching at a brick and mortar charter school. His road to education was a bit longer than usual as he started his education going to school for environmental engineering. It wasn't until he was coaching football that the head coach pointed him into the direction of education and he hasn't looked back since.

In his free time he loves to cook and for a time owned a family run food truck with his wife. He now spends most of his time outside of school coaching his boys in baseball and football and going fishing whenever he gets the chance.

Mr. McCurdy has been employed at Reach Cyber Charter School since August of 2018 and has been in the field of special education for over 25 years. Mr. McCurdy's education journey began in an urban school district outside of Pittsburgh where he worked as a high school learning support teacher. Following that he returned to the Central Pennsylvania Area and continued working with school-aged students with disabilities within a county correctional facility. Mr. McCurdy then became a cyber school coordinator before becoming a supervisor of special education. He served in that position for 15 years. Mr. McCurdy has a vast background within the field of special education and special education programming such as, Emotional Support, Learning Support, Autism Support, Multiple Disability Support, and Alternative Education to name a few. He believes learning is a lifelong endeavor and reads articles and attends workshops whenever possible. Mr. McCurdy holds certifications as a Reading Specialist, Elementary and Special Education Teacher and a Special Education Supervisory Certificate. Mr. McCurdy is passionate about inclusion and ensuring families feel welcomed and valued within the special education process.

JD started his educational journey as a social worker in the city of Philadelphia working in a group home and later in foster care. This work lead him to pursue his professional teaching certification. He spent two years in brick-and-mortar before moving to cyber education and continues to build on his thirteen year career at Reach. He oversees our growing Career Readiness Department that serves all Reach students K-12 and includes Career Readiness Teachers, a K-8 Career Exploration Coordinator and Career Experience Managers and Coordinators. JD also oversees an innovative team of teachers that coordinate vocational programs in carpentry, veterinary sciences and cosmetology with more to come in the future.

Karen started her career as an auditor with the public accounting firm KPMG. She spent 6 years at KPMG auditing governments, non-profits, and school districts. She then spent 5 years as the Business Manager at Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School. After taking a 14 year hiatus to raise her two daughters, she came to Reach in 2017 as the Business Manager, and now serves as the Director of Finance. Karen and her husband Bob are both Penn State alumni and enjoy making regular trips to Happy Valley during the football season. Karen and Bob are extremely proud of their 2 daughters; their oldest is studying Actuarial Science at PSU, and their youngest plays high school and club level Field Hockey. Her family enjoys vacationing in the Poconos and in the Outer Banks, North Carolina.

Kati Rutkowski i originally from Urbanna, Virginia which is on the Rappahannock River. After high school, Kati was unsure what career path she wanted to follow, so she tried out a few jobs (like floral arranging and working at a theater coordinating off-Broadway shows!) before deciding to pursue her degree in teaching in 2009. All of those job experiences allowed her to learn that she wanted to be involved in the exciting world of education, first as a teacher, then instructional coach, and then as Assistant Principal in brick and mortar Philadelphia schools and now Director of MTSS at Reach. She is currently enjoying the opportunity to serve Reach families and working with all of the Reach staff and families to ensure each student receives the skills they need to be successful in their chosen paths. Kati lives with her husband (who is a teacher!) in Philadelphia and enjoys reading, hiking and painting!

Dr. Kelley McConnell serves as the Director of Data and Assessment for Reach Cyber Charter School. Dr. McConnell promotes school-wide data driven decision making and leads school improvement initiatives. She has been working in virtual education for over ten tears and previously worked as an English and Science teacher. Dr. McConnell completed her Ph.D. in 2019 from Marywood University where she conducted research on teacher perception of student socialization in the virtual school environment. She is an excellent baker, a bibliophile, a dog lover, and a mom to two energetic boys.

Mr. Garman joined Reach Cyber Charter School as the Director of Human Resources (HR) on September 13, 2021. He is a certified HR professional with more than twenty years' experience in public service organizations.

Prior to joining Reach Cyber Charter School, he served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) from 2011 to 2021 leading the HR team and the agency's facilities, mail services, and physical security operations.

Additionally, Mr. Garman served in a variety of HR positions in several Commonwealth of Pennsylvania agencies that includes the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Governor's Office of Administration, Department of Revenue, and Department of Public Welfare. From 1999 to 2020, he served as an instructor for the Pennsylvania State University where he taught human resources and management courses.

Mr. Garman is a veteran of the US Army having retired as a Command Sergeant Major.

Scott Shedd, with over a decade of experience in the field, is our Director of Technology. Prior to working at Reach Cyber charter School he was the Team Lead for Specialty Applications in the IT Imaging and Integration department of UPMC Pinnacle. He comes from Northern California by way of Seattle where he pursued his first career in business management. He also lived in Poland and China, where he taught English, before beginning his current career in IT.

Scott started with Reach Cyber Charter School in March of 2022. After his experience with cyber schooling his two boys during the Covid-19 lockdowns he wanted to find an innovative school that would embrace a vision of IT being involved to push student success forward. He now leads the technology charge into the new Reach Cyber Charter school environment and is building our team of next generation technology professionals.

Entering his seventh year at Reach, Scott Stuccio continues to oversee all aspects of recruitment and retention of our amazing families. Alongside a team of eight wonderful colleagues, Scott supervises social outreach initiatives, community enrollment activities, supports the school's STEM focus, and oversees website content.

His background in meteorology has helped procure a partnership with WeatherSTEM, a national-renowned company with a focus on weather safety and education. Scott is in his sixth year of hosting Reach students in a monthly WeatherSTEM camp, is currently planning the school's first-ever TV club, and is building the state's first-ever meteorology elective to be offered in an online public school.

Scott and his wife Kristen live in Marysville with their wheaten terrier, Silas.

Stephanie joined the Reach Cyber Charter School community in August 2018, with 16 years of experience in both public and private school settings. A decade of that time was spent in the Executive Director role of a licensed preschool, leading a team of early childhood educators. That experience truly ignited her passion for educational leadership! During her time at Reach, Stephanie has served as an elementary teacher, a STEM instructional coach and the Assistant Principal of STEM Education before being promoted to her current director role.

A Philadelphia native, Stephanie now resides in Chester County with her husband, 3 children and 3 family rescue dogs. She enjoys staying active in her community through various volunteer opportunities and supporting local youth sporting events in her area.
